Best value of the weekend goes to the 49ers for Devonshire: D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the 49ers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Devonshire. Gore Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.

A reasonable price with a little left over, Jackson Powers-Johnson in Round 2, Pick 4. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick40 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 40th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
