The 49ers let Milroe fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Jalen Milroe at the 135th pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will need Simpkins III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Jaire Alexander gives the group a proven body among the projects. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
