McCarthy is the Broncos' new face under center. Grade: F.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Javon Solomon; the Broncos did not wait, grabbing him 40 spots ahead at No. 76. A F, plain and simple.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, tight end and other spots.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Getting Jones where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left interior defensive lineman open, and the grade is the bill.
