The Browns ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The cost of the Marshall Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The veteran additions, Dak Prescott chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
