FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks robbed the room for Mensah. Final grade: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Darian Mensah at Round 6, Pick 25 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
In No. 27 they get a weapon on the perimeter at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick58
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter at the Round 2 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick89
Rnd3
Keith Abney II
They did well to land Keith Abney II in pick No. 89, just ahead of his grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick203
Rnd6
Darian Mensah
Darian Mensah at the 203rd overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
