Of all the ways to open, the Steelers chose the head-scratcher, spending Round 3, Pick 3 on Zach Frazier with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still wide open.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Landing Bullock that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The cost of the McCaffrey reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
