Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Woody Marks, the No. 184 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 247. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They are betting Igbinosun proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
