MASON DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns

Draft Grade — Browns

FutureB-
The Browns won the night they stopped Brooks from sliding. Grade: C+. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Browns shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Brooks. The McLeod reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
A reasonable price with a little left over, Travis Hunter in slot 4. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick33
Rnd2
Walter Nolen
Walter Nolen in pick 33 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The roster fit checks out.
Pick67
Rnd3
Marcus Mbow
Marcus Mbow slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 3 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick69
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
They let TreVeyon Henderson come to them and pounced at No. 69. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick94
Rnd3
Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe in the 94th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick104
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
A slide stopped in pick No. 104, with Kevin Winston Jr. worth more than the price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick179
Rnd6
Jake Briningstool
Jake Briningstool slipping to the 179th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick192
Rnd6
Jalen McLeod
Jalen McLeod at pick No. 192 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick200
Rnd6
KeAndre Lambert-Smith
Nothing to complain about; KeAndre Lambert-Smith went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick216
Rnd6
Tahj Brooks
They robbed the room for Tahj Brooks here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick255
Rnd7
Zeek Biggers
Zeek Biggers at the 255th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
