Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent Round 7, Pick 35 on Keyron Crawford, a name most had 43 spots down the list.

Landing Caldwell that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.
