Hard to find the plan in the Giants' weekend. D+.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Giants took R.J. Oben at pick 3, roughly 382 spots before his name belonged. Too much went sideways, and the D+ is the honest tally.

It is not that Sauls is a bad player; it is that the Giants had louder needs to answer first. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Felton.

Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
