Somebody in Round 7, Pick 31 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Kalel Mullings, the No. 113 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The Mertz pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Antonio Hamilton Sr. pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
