More right than wrong for the Texans, and a B- to prove it.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Texans did exactly that with Isaac Rex in Round 7, Pick 28. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Getting Allen where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

By-the-book stuff, Darius Robinson at No. 123 squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

No drama and no debate, James Williams went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 27. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick164 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen slid further than he should have, and pick No. 164 is lovely value for the running back. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

They paid sticker price for Matthew Jones in the 239th pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
