Draft Grade — Bengals
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA FutureB
Nobody dealt better than the Bengals this weekend: B+.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Jasheen Davis; the Bengals did not wait, grabbing him 114 spots ahead at the 189th pick. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Shavon Revel Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick49 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
The board fumbled Nick Emmanwori all the way to No. 49, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick81 Rnd3 Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren in pick No. 81 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick117 Rnd4 Luke Kandra
The board had Luke Kandra higher than Round 4, Pick 16, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Pick152 Rnd5 Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon Judkins in the 152nd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jasheen Davis
A wild overpay on Jasheen Davis in pick 189, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick191 Rnd6 Shemar Turner
Shemar Turner in the Round 6 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick195 Rnd6 Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin at pick 195 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
