Somebody in No. 140 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Vikings sat still while Jordan Phillips, the No. 109 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Jones Jr. lower, and that gap is the story.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. Quantity was the play, for better or worse.
