No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Commanders. Nobody else had Teddye Buchanan anywhere near the 205th pick. The Commanders did, by 47 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. The Stewart pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
