The Browns torched the value chart for Akheem Mesidor, taking him 172 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

They banked enough surplus on Mullings to cover a lot of smaller sins. They have staked the next five years on Shedeur Sanders, which is the only story that really matters here.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
