Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Ravens for Bobo: B-.

Call it larceny. Drew Bobo sat on the board until pick 172, and the Ravens did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Carter Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 David Stone
In Round 1, Pick 14 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick45 Rnd2 Yhonzae Pierre
A straight-up fair deal on Yhonzae Pierre at No. 45, value and slot in agreement. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick80 Rnd3 Terrance Carter Jr.
The board had cheaper options than Terrance Carter Jr. at pick 80, and it noticed. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick115 Rnd4 A.J. Harris
A premium they did not need to pay, A.J. Harris a notch or two before his time. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick152 Rnd5 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Jermaine Mathews Jr. at slot 152 squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick160 Rnd5 Earnest Greene III
Earnest Greene III at the 160th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick172 Rnd5 Drew Bobo
Drew Bobo at the Round 5 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jake Guarnera
Jake Guarnera in the 173rd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick249 Rnd7 Evan Stewart
Evan Stewart at slot 249 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick252 Rnd7 Kelby Collins
They paid a round early for Kelby Collins in pick 252, more than the board wanted. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
