Grand theft in pick 218: the Ravens steal Devonshire and grade out a C-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Ravens shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They banked enough surplus on Devonshire to cover a lot of smaller sins. Jefferson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Brian Thomas Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 30 they get a weapon on the perimeter. A real need, handled.
Pick62 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy at the Round 2 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick65 Rnd3 Bralen Trice
No drama and no debate, Bralen Trice went about where he belonged in the 65th pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick93 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany at slot 93 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick130 Rnd4 Josh Newton
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Josh Newton at the 130th overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jordan Jefferson
Jordan Jefferson at No. 165 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick218 Rnd6 M.J. Devonshire
M.J. Devonshire in pick No. 218 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick228 Rnd7 Tylan Grable
They took Tylan Grable at par in Round 7, Pick 8, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick250 Rnd7 Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal in pick 250 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
