Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureA
The Cardinals left with their quarterback, and a D to match. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Cardinals, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.
They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. If Tagovailoa pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
However the rest shakes out, Clark at that price is a win they earned.
In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
Pick Analysis
Pick5
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In Round 1, Pick 5 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick17
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In pick 17 they get a bendy edge with upside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick21
Rnd1
Taliese Fuaga
In slot 21 they get a cornerstone up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at No. 34 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick45
Rnd2
Kalen King
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kalen King. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick76
Rnd3
McKinnley Jackson
McKinnley Jackson at pick No. 76 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97
Rnd3
Christian Haynes
A tidy little value on Christian Haynes in the 97th overall pick, a step better than break-even. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick102
Rnd4
Graham Barton
A straight-up fair deal on Graham Barton at the 102nd pick, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick149
Rnd5
MarShawn Lloyd
Quietly one of the better values of the day, MarShawn Lloyd at the 149th pick. It fills a real need, too.
Pick192
Rnd6
De'Corian Clark
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 192nd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick223
Rnd7
Taulia Tagovailoa
They left a pile of value on the table to take Taulia Tagovailoa this early at pick 223. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick235
Rnd7
Benjamin Yurosek
They took Benjamin Yurosek at par in No. 235, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
