They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They are betting Gore Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They banked enough surplus on Egbuka to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, with Jayden Daniels leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
