Spencer should have been long gone. The Saints pounced, and earned a B+.

Thirty-one other rooms let Malik Spencer slide, and the Saints were the ones holding the card at the Round 6 slot. Highway robbery.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
