You build a draft on nights like this. Brevyn Spann-Ford had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the Colts did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The cost of the Williams reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
