A masterclass at the trade table lands the Bears a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bears came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They are betting Reiman proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Chase Young pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
