You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Steelers spent pick 51 on Kingsley Suamataia while quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots sat unaddressed. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They banked enough surplus on Owens to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The cost of the Powers-Johnson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
