A masterclass at the trade table lands the Saints a B+.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Saints spent the 253rd pick on Marcus Dumervil, a name the board had a full 79 spots lower. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Majors at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Campbell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and running back still on the board.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
