Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Eagles: B. When a board-topper like Roman Wilson slides to Round 3, Pick 34, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Crumedy pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Nate Wiggins
In pick No. 22 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45
Rnd2
Chop Robinson
Nice patience on Chop Robinson, who had no business lasting to the 45th overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick54
Rnd2
Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at slot 54 squarely in line with his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick97
Rnd3
Roman Wilson
Taking Roman Wilson in Round 3, Pick 34 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick135
Rnd4
Jordan Travis
A straight-up fair deal on Jordan Travis at pick 135, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick144
Rnd5
MarShawn Lloyd
MarShawn Lloyd in the 144th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick171
Rnd5
Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
Fair-plus on Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick240
Rnd7
Jaden Crumedy
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jaden Crumedy this early at the 240th overall pick. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
