The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The Sainristil value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The cost of the Anderson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
