The Chargers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Chargers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
They are betting Barrett proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bishop. The Chargers paired the rookies with proven help, Mark Andrews leading the way.
On the needs board they went 8 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
