After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The Stover pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. They are betting Rouse proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Hardy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
