The Steelers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Dwight McGlothern at slot 119 regardless, 64 picks early. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Mims. The Van Pran pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots still on the board.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
