Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bears spent pick 186 on Brevyn Spann-Ford, a name the board had a full 30 spots lower. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on tight end is the choice that costs them. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
