Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a B- weekend for the Bears.

The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Reaching for Mims left real value on the table behind him. That Gray pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In pick 1 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick4 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick68 Rnd3 Amarius Mims
They paid a round early for Amarius Mims in the 68th pick, more than the board wanted. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick104 Rnd4 Audric Estime
They paid sticker price for Audric Estime in slot 104, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick132 Rnd4 Tommy Eichenberg
They read the board right and Tommy Eichenberg was the payoff at the 132nd overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick141 Rnd5 Tyler Guyton
No drama and no debate, Tyler Guyton went about where he belonged in No. 141. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick182 Rnd6 Nelson Ceaser
Nelson Ceaser at pick No. 182 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick225 Rnd7 Joshua Gray
Joshua Gray slid further than he should have, and Round 7, Pick 5 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
