The 49ers did not so much draft Oluwafemi Oladejo as overpay for him, 95 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C- in the wash.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Giddens. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. It is not that Hill is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
