Best value of the weekend goes to the Texans for Dixon: B-.

Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Johnny Dixon, the No. 191 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The McCaffrey reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: running back settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
