Call it larceny. DJ Giddens sat on the board until No. 197, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. Every board in the league had Pierce lower, and that gap is the story.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
