Draft Profile: Bio
Caleb Odom had 1,121 receiving yards and 13 scores on 64 catches as a junior at Carrollton High School in Georgia and played in the Under Armour All-America Game. Rivals rated him a four-star prospect, and he chose Alabama over Florida, Miami and Texas A&M.Odom played receiver for the Crimson Tide as a freshman in 2024, appearing in 12 games with seven catches. He transferred to Ole Miss for 2025, moved to tight end in August and caught 19 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns.
In 2026 he has 27 catches for 360 yards and two scores. He opened with three catches for 66 yards and a touchdown against Louisville on 6 September, caught five passes for 88 yards against LSU and scored again against Missouri on 17 October. He has lined up mostly in the slot, with some snaps inline.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Rare speed for a tight end, a former receiver who stretches the seam
- No drops this season after four in 2025
- Wins contested catches, coming down with five of eight
- Five catches for 88 yards against LSU showed his big-play range
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Penalties are a major problem, with six this season and four against Missouri
- Light frame limits him as an inline blocker
- Still learning the position after moving from receiver in 2025
- Caught only five of 11 targets at Texas
- Could return to Ole Miss as a junior with eligibility left
Scouting Report: Summary
Odom is a receiver in a tight end's body, and his speed creates mismatches up the seam. He has cleaned up his hands this season, with no drops, and he wins at the catch point, as his work against LSU showed. However, he is still raw at the position. His frame is light for inline blocking, he has six penalties this season, four of them against Missouri, and Texas had success limiting him. He has only been a tight end for just over a year.
Overall, Odom has the speed and receiving skills teams look for in a move tight end, but he needs strength and discipline. He projects as a priority free agent if he declares, and another season at Ole Miss could lift his stock.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
