Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles robbed the room for Neal. Final grade: B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Devin Neal, the No. 83 name on the board, stolen at the 161st overall pick.

Brown has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Ivan Pace Jr. pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.28 · Pick 60 · Tyler Warren · TE · rank 44
Tyler Warren at slot 60 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R3.28 · Pick 92 · Deontae Lawson · LB · rank 81
They read the board right and Deontae Lawson was the payoff at the 92nd overall pick. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R4.31 · Pick 132 · Jaeden Roberts · OG · rank 158
A wild overpay on Jaeden Roberts in the 132nd pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It fills a real need, too.
R5.11 · Pick 148 · Zane Durant · DT · rank 170
Zane Durant in the Round 5 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.19 · Pick 156 · Kevin Winston Jr. · S · rank 92
They barely believed it either: Kevin Winston Jr. still on the board at pick 156. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.24 · Pick 161 · Devin Neal · RB · rank 83
Devin Neal at Round 5, Pick 24 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R5.26 · Pick 163 · Willie Lampkin · OG · rank 168
By-the-book stuff, Willie Lampkin at No. 163 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R5.28 · Pick 165 · Samuel Brown · WR · rank 196
Samuel Brown at pick No. 165 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.34 · Pick 209 · Jaylen Reed · S · rank 214
No drama and no debate, Jaylen Reed went about where he belonged in the 209th pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
