The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and TreVeyon Henderson fell into slot 161. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. The Henry To'oTo'o deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 19 they get a double-digit-sack hope. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Steal is underselling it; Nick Emmanwori at the 60th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Barrett Carter in the Round 4 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Oronde Gadsden II in the 156th overall pick, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
They robbed the room for TreVeyon Henderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A premium they did not need to pay, Dont'e Thornton Jr. a notch or two before his time. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
