The 49ers landed square in the muddy middle: C+.

The 49ers went off the board in a big way for Bradyn Joiner, 376 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
