Nobody had PJ Williams this high, and it is not close. The Bears reached 208 spots to get him at slot 89. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C-.

On value alone, Bernard makes the weekend a net positive. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
