Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C+
ValueF NeedB TradesB- FutureA
The jury is out on the Titans. For now, C+.

The Titans looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Patrick Payton at the 12th pick regardless, 240 picks early. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

The Moore value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Cobie Durant deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Patrick Payton
In No. 12 they get a premier pass rusher, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35 Rnd2 Max Klare
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Max Klare. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick66 Rnd3 Avieon Terrell
Avieon Terrell at the Round 3 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick101 Rnd4 CJ Allen
CJ Allen in pick 101 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick142 Rnd5 Jadarian Price
Somehow Jadarian Price was still sitting there in slot 142, and they pounced on premier running back value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick144 Rnd5 Aaron Anderson
Aaron Anderson in the 144th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick152 Rnd5 Demond Claiborne
Demond Claiborne at the 152nd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick184 Rnd6 Malik Spencer
Malik Spencer in slot 184 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick194 Rnd6 Derrick Moore
Circle this one: Derrick Moore at pick No. 194 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick218 Rnd7 Jerand Bradley
A big swing on Jerand Bradley at the Round 7 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick225 Rnd7 Le'Veon Moss
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Le'Veon Moss in No. 225, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
