A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D-.

The 49ers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 5, Pick 36 on Dominic Zvada a full 45 spots early. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

That Wilson pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
