The Eagles robbed the room for Fannin Jr.. Final grade: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Harold Fannin Jr. at the 128th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The West reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.31 · Pick 31 · Nick Emmanwori · S · rank 22
In pick No. 31 they get a ballhawk on the back end, outstanding value to boot.
R2.31 · Pick 63 · Jalon Walker · LB · rank 20
Jalon Walker in No. 63 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R3.31 · Pick 95 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 55
They barely believed it either: TreVeyon Henderson still on the board at the 95th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
R4.27 · Pick 128 · Harold Fannin Jr. · TE · rank 52
Harold Fannin Jr. in slot 128 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.23 · Pick 160 · Jared Wilson · C · rank 108
Jared Wilson at pick 160 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.27 · Pick 164 · CJ West · DT · rank 209
This one needs a full-page explanation: CJ West in the 164th overall pick, miles early. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R5.29 · Pick 166 · Ryan Fitzgerald · PK · rank 117
Circle this one: Ryan Fitzgerald at Round 5, Pick 29 is a fall that decides a draft. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
