There is reaching, and then there is TJ Ferguson at No. 241. The 49ers jumped the board by 64 and dared it to prove them wrong. There is no dressing it up: a F.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will answer for taking cornerback early while interior defensive lineman and quarterback went begging.

On value alone, Lee III makes the weekend a net positive. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.
