The Patrick Payton selection is the head-turner. The Lions reached 70 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Delp falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.
