You build a draft on nights like this. Jake Slaughter had no business being available in slot 90, and the Dolphins did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The cost of the Barrett reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
