The Patriots finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B+.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

The cost of the Bell reach is exactly the players who went right after him. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
