Razor's Edge DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Browns, and a B- to prove it. The Browns looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Aidan Hubbard at the 248th overall pick regardless, 116 picks early. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
In the 6th overall pick they get a blindside protector at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick24
Rnd1
Chris Brazzell II
In the 24th pick they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon at No. 39 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick70
Rnd3
Brenen Thompson
Brenen Thompson at Round 3, Pick 6 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick107
Rnd4
Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance in the Round 4 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick141
Rnd5
Dametrious Crownover
A clean, defensible pick in pick 141 with a little surplus value in Dametrious Crownover. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick146
Rnd5
Drew Allar
Drew Allar in the 146th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick149
Rnd5
Mason Reiger
Mason Reiger at slot 149 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick206
Rnd6
Toriano Pride Jr.
Toriano Pride Jr. in pick No. 206 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick248
Rnd7
Aidan Hubbard
Aidan Hubbard in Round 7, Pick 32 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
