When a board-topper like Danny Stutsman slides to pick 160, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the Warren reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 31st pick they get a red-zone target to build around, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
The board had Tyleik Williams higher than the 63rd overall pick, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They paid up for Luke Kandra at the Round 3 slot when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Circle this one: TreVeyon Henderson at pick No. 128 is a fall that decides a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Somehow Danny Stutsman was still sitting there in slot 160, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A minor itch, scratched.
Billy Bowman Jr. at Round 5, Pick 27 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
