The Bears' one glaring miss is running back, a need they left exactly as they found it. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They banked enough surplus on Banks to cover a lot of smaller sins. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

The dealing was even money, start to finish.
